The basic quantities characterizing the distribution function $f(\\mathbf{v},\\bm{\\omega})$ of linear ($\\mathbf{v}$) and angular ($\\bm{\\omega}$) velocities are the second-degree moments defining the translational ($T^\\text{tr}$) and rotational ($T^\\text{rot}$) temperatures.
