Reliably deploying these surrogates requires uncertainty estimates consistent with the learned dynamics. We expose a dynamic-probabilistic consistency (DPC) gap: the pursuit of finite-horizon probabilistic objectives can degrade dynamics or decouple predictive uncertainty from the local tangent dynamics it ought to reflect.
