Using a patterned GaAs/AlGaAs waveguide with twelve wide quantum wells, we demonstrate hybridization of heavy- and light-hole excitons within a single polariton state and show that, at finite magnetic field, the presence of the light-hole exciton suppresses coupling to the heavy-hole Rydberg excitons and unbound scattering states.
