We adopt the factorization-assisted topological approach in dealing with the decay amplitudes of $D^0 \\to K^\\pm K^*(892)^\\mp$. The $\\mathit{CP}$ asymmetries of two-body decays are predicted to be very tiny, which are $(-1.27 \\pm 0.25) \\times 10^{-5}$ and $(3.86 \\pm 0.26) \\times 10^{-5}$ respectively for $D^0 \\to K^+ K^*(892)^-$ and $D^0 \\to K^- K^*(892)^+$.
