The fully three-dimensional model is based on Reynolds-averaged mean-flow equations coupled with turbulence transport equations. The model includes the effects of electron heat conduction, Coulomb collisions, turbulent Reynolds stresses, and heating of protons and electrons via a turbulent cascade.
