Motivated by the recent BESIII and Belle measurements, we have conducted a theoretical study of the process $\\Lambda_c^+ \\to \\pi^+ \\eta \\Lambda$, where the $a_0(980)$ and $\\Lambda(1670)$ resonances are dynamically generated from the $S$-wave meson meson and meson baryon interaction, respectively.
