Prolonged PRLS has been confirmed in only two non-human mammals, both odontocete cetaceans. We investigate the evidence for PRLS in a third species, the false killer whale, Pseudorca crassidens, using a quantitative measure of PRLS and morphological evidence from reproductive tissue.
