We find that the Li--Sokal bound on the autocorrelation time ($\\tau_{{\\rm int},{\\cal E}} \\ge {\\rm const} \\times C_H$) holds along the self-dual curve of the symmetric Ashkin--Teller model, but this bound is apparently not sharp.
