The critical test of EOS' for solids under low compressions (<10GPa) by evaluating the pressure-volume derivative properties viz., isothermal bulk modulus and its pressure derivative calculated for BiFeO3. The elastic moduli such as bulk modulus, shear modulus, Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio have been calculated as a function of pressure. The values of elastic moduli have been obtained using compressional wave velocity and shear wave velocity.
