Assume that $\\mathcal N$ is a $\\delta$-net in the unit ball of $X$ and that $\\mathcal N$ admits a bi-Lipschitz embedding into $Y$ with distortion at most $D$. Then the entire space $X$ admits a bi-Lipschitz embedding into $Y$ with distortion at most $CD$.
