The pair distribution functions and the local field factors needed in linear response theory are determined for a range of temperatures, carrier densities, and barrier widths typical for experimental double quantum well systems in GaAs-GaAlAs. For electron-hole double quantum wells, a large enhancement in the pair distribution functions is found for small carrier separations.
