We consider a simple coupling between matter and non-metricity, specifically, $f\\left( Q,T\\right) =\\alpha Q^{m+1}+\\lambda T$ and $f\\left( Q,T\\right) =\\alpha Q+\\lambda T$ where $\\alpha $, $\\lambda $ and $m$ are free model parameters.
