Using a custom-built confocal Brillouin microspectrometer, we obtained Brillouin shifts and full width at half maximum (FWHM) values, enabling the non-invasive assessment of cellular stiffness and viscosity. The Brillouin spectra revealed the biomechanical characteristics of melanoma cells, with measured shifts and FWHM values providing a detailed viscoelastic profile.
