Combining measurements of the in-plane magnetoresistivity $\\rho_{ab}(T,H)$ and the magnetotunneling, we present evidence for the existence of a small \"pseudogap\" in a nonsuperconducting cuprate, without local incoherent pairs or any correlation phenomena associated with superconductivity.
