Recent observations of extragalactic neutrino may indicate the source of UHECRs being an extragalactic supermassive black hole (SMBH). We demonstrate that ultra-efficient energy extraction from rotating SMBH driven by the magnetic Penrose process (MPP) could indeed foot the bill.
