However, some observed dispersion profiles show a deviation from this fit at intermediate radii, usually between one and three $R_{\\mathrm{eff}}$, where the velocity dispersion remains constant with radius, showing a bump-like behavior, which we term the \"$\\sigma$-\"bump.
