Previous studies in quantum control have shown that, beyond transform-limited pulses, those with antisymmetric spectral phases can drive nonresonant multiphoton transitions with comparable efficiency. However, in resonant multiphoton transitions, the material's spectral-phase response introduces dispersion that degrades nonlinear efficiency.
