Numerical experiments on the linear programming benchmark dataset further demonstrate that, with a restart strategy, the ergodic sequence of the PR splitting method with semi-proximal terms consistently outperforms both the point-wise and ergodic sequences of the Douglas-Rachford (DR) splitting method.
