As a result of the interbranch scattering scheme and the nonlinear polariton-polariton interactions, such parametric scatterings exhibit high scattering efficiency, which leads to fast depletion of the polariton condensate and periodic shut-off of the bosonic stimulation processes, eventually causing relaxation oscillations.
