The simulations show a strong suppression of turbulent transport caused by the induced $\\mathbf{E}\\times\\mathbf{B}$ flow shear, which leads to the formation of an edge transport barrier with a pedestal-like structure, in qualitative agreement with RFX-mod experiments.
