ANDES aims to address a broad range of science cases, including the characterization of the atmosphere of exoplanets. With a first light envisioned by 2035, the instrument baseline features a modular fiber-fed echelle spectrograph with visible and near-infrared ultra-stable spectral arms to provide a simultaneous spectral range of 0.4-1.8\\,$\\mu$m with a spectral resolving power up to 100,000.
