Based on Brownian dynamics simulations of supercooled charge-stabilized colloidal suspensions, our analysis shows that the shear thinning of viscosity (eta) at large enough shear rates (sr), expressed as eta~sr^(-lambda), originates from the evolution of the localized elastic region (LER).
