However, this imaging technique relies on injection of radioactive tracers and is expensive. On the contrary, Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) MRI is a non-invasive, non-radioactive, and relatively cheap imaging technique for brain hemodynamic measurements, which allows quantification to some extent.
