Using deuterium (D$_2$) as model fuel, we perform large-scale molecular dynamics simulations with a Feynman-Hibbs corrected Silvera-Goldman potential to describe nuclear quantum effects at low temperatures, systematically investigating D$_2$ crystallization inside spherical ablator capsules.
