This builds on recent work on drilling hyperbolic groups and generalizes the case where $G$ is the fundamental group of a closed hyperbolic $3$-manifold $M$, $Q \\cong \\mathbb{Z}$ is represented by an embedded geodesic loop $\\gamma$, and $H$ is the fundamental group of a branched cover of $M$ with branching locus $\\gamma$.
