Our emphasis is on those regimes where the perturbation equations admit exact or perturbative solutions, providing insights complementary to numerical or semi-analytic approaches. We discuss solvable cases in lower-dimensional spacetimes, algebraically special modes, and exact results in higher-curvature gravity theories.
