In contrast, a massive scalar field in the asymptotically flat Schwarzschild background exhibits a decay with oscillatory (sinusoidal) tails enveloped by a power law. We demonstrate that the asymptotic decay of a massive scalar field in the Schwarzschild-de Sitter spacetime is exponential.
