Their weak net charge fluctuation makes them long lived, but also makes them difficult to access with charge-sensitive probes. We propose a route to tune and brighten these modes in a two-dimensional d-wave altermagnet by combining Rashba spin-orbit coupling with electrostatic gate screening.
