The system employs a microfocus X-ray source in cone-beam geometry, enabling both absorption-contrast and propagation-based phase-contrast imaging. A dynamic flat-field correction algorithm mitigates radiation-induced degradation during long acquisitions, helping to overcome limitations of consumer-grade hardware.
