On the basis of static magnetization and electron spin resonance measurements, we demonstrate the emergence of ${\\tilde{j}_{\\text{eff}}=\\frac12}$ moments in the triangular-lattice magnet Na$_2$BaCo(PO$_4$)$_2$.
