In this paper, by performing high-resolution hydrodynamic simulations in the framework of {\\it MACER}, we investigate the fate of the inflow and its impacts on the evolution of a massive elliptical galaxy. The inflow properties are adopted from the cosmological simulation IllustrisTNG.
