The interaction is introduced by incorporating a non-zero source term into the continuity equations of the two sectors (with opposite signs), modeled as $\\bar{Q}_0 \\equiv \\alpha\\bar{\\rho}_{\\rm m}(H + \\kappa\\dot{\\phi})$.
