Motivated by the teleparallel formulation, we investigate cosmological implications, employing the simplest parametrization of the dark energy equation of state. Our chosen $f(T)$ function, $f(T)=\\alpha(-T)^n$, undergoes stringent constraints using recent observational data ($H(z)$, SNeIa, BAO, and CMB).
