Hadani et al. propose a two dimensional discrete symplectic Fourier transform (DSFT) as orthogonal pre-coder for a time-frequency modulation scheme. In this paper we explore \\emph{general} orthogonal precoding (OP) and its performance in time- and frequency-selective channels.
