Reactions such as $\\nu p \\rightarrow \\nu K^{+} \\Lambda$ are indistinguishable from proton decays when the decay products of the $\\Lambda$ are below detection threshold. Events with $K^{+}$ are identified in MINERvA by reconstructing the timing signature of a $K^{+}$ decay at rest.
