In condensed matter systems, the Berry phase underlies a broad range of phenomena, including the anomalous Hall effect, orbital magnetism, and electric polarization. However, in centrosymmetric materials possessing time-reversal (TR) symmetry, its manifestation is suppressed and effectively vanishes.
