Arribas","submitted_at":"2013-04-03T09:55:58Z","abstract_excerpt":"We present a 2D study of the internal extinction on (sub)kiloparsec scales of a sample of local (z<0.1) (U)LIRGs, based on near-infrared Pa_a, Br_d, and Br_g line ratios, obtained with VLT-SINFONI integral-field spectroscopy. The 2D extinction (Av) distributions of the objects, map regions of ~3x3 kpc (LIRGs) and ~12x12 kpc (ULIRGs), with average angular resolutions (FWHM) of ~0.2 kpc and ~0.9 kpc, respectively.
