Surface-modification utilizing small silane molecules and long chain polymers were explored to de-agglomerate and disperse the particles. Structural, morphological and optical properties were characterized with x-ray diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, and laser spectroscopy respectively to evaluate these materials.
