But in the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-$\\beta$ lattices with next-nearest-neighbor interactions we find that $\\alpha$ strongly depends on $\\gamma$, the ratio of the next-nearest-neighbor coupling to the nearest-neighbor coupling.
