In this model, the infection propagates through the edge connecting vertices $x$ and $y$ at rate $\\lambda\\rho(x)\\rho(y)$ for some $\\lambda>0$, where $\\{\\rho(x),{x\\in T^d}\\}$ are $i.i.d.$ vertex weights.
