In order to investigate the charmonium-nucleon interactions at low energies, we adopt two essentially different approaches in lattice QCD simulations. The charmonium-nucleon potential can be calculated from the equal-time Bethe-Salpeter amplitude through the effective Schr\\\"odinger equation.
