Let $\\mathcal{C}$ be an additive category or $n$-angulated category and $\\mathcal{X}$ a covariantly finite subcategory, we show that under certain conditions the quotient $\\mathcal{C}/\\mathcal{X}$ is a right $n$-angulated category.
