Mathematically, this means that their spectral density, $\\tilde{\\rho}({\\bf k})$, approaches zero for low wavenumber, $|\\textbf{k}|$. Crystalline lattices are hyperuniform, as are certain quasicrystals, maximally random jammed packing of spheres, and electrons in the fractional quantum Hall state.
