FEI reformulates the EI objective through an inexact variable-splitting scheme, decoupling network training from an auxiliary restoration step implemented with a plug-and-play denoiser, this novel unsupervised scheme shows superior efficiency and performance compared to the standard Equivariant Imaging paradigm.
