Unlike conventional $B-L$ constructions based on the type-I seesaw, we employ an inverse-seesaw mechanism realized through a sterile fermion $S_{1}$ and a complex scalar field $\\phi$, whose vacuum expectation value simultaneously generates the masses of the heavy neutrinos $N_{1,2}$ and the Majorana DM fermion $\\chi$ via Yukawa couplings.
