In the mid-infrared, graphene-based heterostructures and van der Waals crystals of hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) overwhelmingly concentrate the attention by exhibiting real-space nano-optics from plasmons, phonon-polaritons and hybrid plasmon phonon-polaritons quasiparticles.
