abstract
There has been much recent progress in the understanding and reduction of the computational cost of the Hybrid Monte Carlo algorithm for Lattice QCD as the quark mass parameter is reduced. In this letter we present a new solution to this problem, where we represent the fermionic determinant using (n) pseudofermion fields, each with an (\nth) root kernel. We implement this within the framework of the Rational Hybrid Monte Carlo (RHMC) algorithm. We compare this algorithm with other recent methods in this area and find it is competitive with them.

Conditional MAFs interpolate QCD chiral phase structure across coupling, mass, and volume, reproducing reweighting while cutting required ensembles despite bias near transitions.
Tuning study of aHISQ action on anisotropic lattices from 1 to 8, with comparison of fermion anisotropy tuning and an empirical model for pion taste splittings showing qualitatively different behavior versus naive staggered quarks.
Lattice QCD result for f_K/f_π in isoQCD gives |V_us|/|V_ud| consistent with CKM unitarity once isospin and QED effects are included.
Lattice QCD on finer grids yields a_μ^LO-HVP = 715.1(3.4)×10^{-10}, producing a standard-model prediction for a_μ that differs from experiment by only 0.5 sigma.
