Son, Andrei O. We observe that in the long-distance, low-frequency limit, such correlators have the form dictated by hydrodynamics. We deduce from the calculations the R-charge diffusion constant and the shear viscosity. The value for the latter is in agreement with an earlier calculation based on the Kubo formula and absorption by black branes.","external_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/hep-th/0205052","cited_by_count":882,"metadata_source":"pith","metadata_fetched_at":"2026-08-05T02:28:24.338817+00:00","pith_arxiv_id":"hep-th/0205052","created_at":"2026-05-15T12:45:37.906077+00:00","updated_at":"2026-08-05T02:49:54.815029+00:00","title_quality_ok":false,"display_title":"From AdS/CFT correspondence to hydrodynamics","render_title":"From AdS/CFT correspondence to hydrodynamics"},"hub":{"state":{"tier_text":"hub","tier":"hub","tier_reason":"10+ Pith inbound or 1,000+ external citations","pith_inbound_count":11,"external_cited_by_count":882},"tier":"hub","role_counts":[{"context_role":"background","n":1},{"context_role":"method","n":1}],"polarity_counts":[{"context_polarity":"background","n":1},{"context_polarity":"use_method","n":1}],"runs":{},"summary":{},"graph":{},"authors":[]}}
