We also investigate the black hole solutions of this new gravity theory. Further we examine the equations of motion of quasi-topological gravity. While the full equations in a general background are fourth-order in derivatives, we show that the linearized equations describing gravitons propagating in the AdS vacua match precisely the second-order equations of Einstein gravity.","external_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/1003.5357","cited_by_count":null,"metadata_source":"pith","metadata_fetched_at":"2026-05-24T05:16:00.635430+00:00","pith_arxiv_id":"1003.5357","created_at":"2026-05-10T13:00:24.786921+00:00","updated_at":"2026-05-24T05:16:00.635430+00:00","title_quality_ok":true,"display_title":"Myers and Brandon Robinson","render_title":"Myers and Brandon Robinson"},"hub":{"state":{"work_id":"f8ab066b-9e1a-4c4e-93e7-1e31f1c2a7df","tier":"hub","tier_reason":"10+ Pith inbound or 1,000+ external citations","pith_inbound_count":10,"external_cited_by_count":null,"distinct_field_count":2,"first_pith_cited_at":"2016-08-22T12:32:49+00:00","last_pith_cited_at":"2026-04-15T08:26:47+00:00","author_build_status":"not_needed","summary_status":"needed","contexts_status":"needed","graph_status":"needed","ask_index_status":"not_needed","reader_status":"not_needed","recognition_status":"not_needed","updated_at":"2026-05-26T02:26:17.157694+00:00","tier_text":"hub"},"tier":"hub","role_counts":[{"context_role":"background","n":4}],"polarity_counts":[{"context_polarity":"background","n":4}],"runs":{},"summary":{},"graph":{},"authors":[]}}
