Our first result is that the correlation functions of the Schur process are determinants with a kernel that has a nice contour integral representation in terms of the parameters of the process. This general result is then applied to a particular specialization of the Schur process, namely to random 3-dimensional Young diagrams. The local geometry of a large random 3-dimensional diagram is described in terms of a determinantal point process on a 2-dimensional lattice with the incomplete beta ","authors_text":"Andrei Okounkov, Nikolai Reshetikhin","cross_cats":["math-ph","math.MP","math.PR","nlin.SI"],"headline":"","license":"","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2001-07-06T23:18:57Z","title":"Correlation function of Schur process with application to local geometry of a random 3-dimensional Young diagram"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"math/0107056","kind":"arxiv","version":3},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:30c8975643df0f1f7b9f010e26a28698d83411d9dc61883f394f2dd1ce804dbc","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-04T14:35:25Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"127a5e1631f3988a94152c50ee514aa738bdccf301c7655db19f89ee107c1d73","cross_cats_sorted":["math-ph","math.MP","math.PR","nlin.SI"],"license":"","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2001-07-06T23:18:57Z","title_canon_sha256":"4d72df6b9d1b8760f0a62c9e6f26b82b51bf006caac244851e36eade1fff6224"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"math/0107056","kind":"arxiv","version":3}},"canonical_sha256":"d2787bbf82ab814d7e82ede89ef185038118f2243bb07ff71597fcb3d5ad85da","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"d2787bbf82ab814d7e82ede89ef185038118f2243bb07ff71597fcb3d5ad85da","first_computed_at":"2026-07-04T14:35:25.479485Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-04T14:35:25.479485Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"pycMYe2otiUbMuStHtFQppOL9YNkenCgGv9JtsQi/VuW+67GoTlVspIUAtTClaRzIt3tRW325VzfTSdEtexXBw==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-04T14:35:25.479878Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"math/0107056","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":3}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:30c8975643df0f1f7b9f010e26a28698d83411d9dc61883f394f2dd1ce804dbc","sha256:d93c70fe200d45fdc18cd22d3affdcb65e517b1d3f5d25bfc56c05328a9f88db"],"state_sha256":"2093738e1d17381379074a8028db5f2889362e6ceb7aae9e1150a67d8447b979"}
